Extra gasoline tax rates to expire for 1st time since 1974
ASAHIKAWA, Japan - A sign board at a gas station in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, shows it will reduce gasoline prices by 25.1 yen per liter from April 1 as the additional rates on gasoline tax and other road-related taxes are set to expire at midnight on March 31 for the first time since they were introduced as a provisional measure in 1974.
