25-yen gas tax to be reinstated Thursday

TOKYO, Japan - Members of the House of Representatives vote April 30 to reinstate a 25-yen per liter gasoline tax at a plenary session boycotted by the opposition Democratic Party of Japan. The tax, which expired March 31, will take effect May 1.
