Silvered leaf monkey mother holds golden-hair baby
NAGOYA, Japan - A silvered leaf monkey holds her baby, who was born with a coat of golden hair, at Japan Monkey Centre in Inuyama, Aichi Prefecture on May 25. The hair of the baby, who was born May 19, will turn silver in three months, according to officials of the primate facility. The silvered leaf monkey, native to Southeast Asia, is a rare species protected by the Washington Treaty.
