M7.2 quake jolts northeastern Japan

KITAKAMI, Japan - Members of the Self-Defense Forces rescue passengers from a bus that was hit by a landslide on a forest road in the city of Oshu, Iwate Prefecture, on June 14. Earlier in the day, a powerful earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.2 jolted extensive areas of northeastern Japan.
