Death toll in northeastern Japan quake rises to 9
KITAKAMI, Japan - Rescue workers carry bodies recovered from the wreckage of a hot-spring inn in Kurihara, Miyagi Prefecture, on June 15, a day after the magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck northeastern Japan. A total of seven people were thought to be under the wreckage of the inn and the bodies of three have so far been found.
