Business chiefs call for creation of 'liquid' carbon market
TOKYO, Japan - Klaus Schwab (L), executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, presents to Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda a set of policy recommendations by chief executives from 99 global companies at the prime minister's office in Tokyo on June 20. The recommendations include the creation of a ''deep and liquid'' international carbon market as part of efforts to slash greenhouse gas emissions blamed for global warming.
