African-American singer Jero aims to keep singing 'enka' in Japan
TOKYO, Japan - African-American ''enka'' ballad singer Jero speaks at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan in Tokyo on June 24. The 26-year-old singer, whose real name is Jerome White Jr., ranked fourth on the singles chart based on figures compiled by Oricon Co., marking the highest-ever debut single released by an enka singer in Japan.
