Fishermen stay ashore to make appeal over high oil costs
TOKYO, Japan - Fishing industry workers attend a rally in Tokyo's Hibiya Park on July 15 in protest at soaring fuel costs. About 200,000 fishing boats -- almost all the fishery vessels operating in Japan -- halted operations on the day in an attempt to raise public awareness of the predicament they face due to soaring fuel costs.
