Toyota Motor develops personal transport assistance robot

TOKYO, Japan - Takeshi Uchiyamada, executive vice president of Toyota Motor Corp., demonstrates the Winglet Toyota Partner Robot, a personal transport assistant robot, during a presentation in Tokyo on Aug. 1. The Winglet consists of a body containing an electric motor, two wheels and internal sensors for power adjustments to ensure stability.
