Indonesian caregivers, nurses arrive in Japan
NARITA, Japan - Indonesian caregivers and nurses arrive at Narita airport, east of Tokyo, on Aug. 7, the first group to take jobs in Japan under a bilateral economic partnership agreement that took effect July 1. It also represents Japan's first full-fledged acceptance of foreign workers in the medical and nursing-care fields, which have been facing serious labor shortages.
