Olympics: Japan's Takeshita 4th in kayak slalom

BEIJING, China - Japan's Yuriko Takeshita finished fourth in the women's single kayak slalom final, the best showing by a Japanese woman in Olympic canoeing, on Aug. 15 at the whitewater course of Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park on Aug. 15. The 19-year-old had a combined time of 219.30 seconds in the race, won by Slovakia's Elena Kaliska with a total time of 192.64.
