Mikasa Foods head admits involvement in sale of tainted rice

OSAKA, Japan - Mitsuo Fuyuki, president of rice miller Mikasa Foods, holds a news conference in Osaka on Sept. 6. Fuyuki said his company began disguising non-edible tainted rice as edible and selling it five or six years ago at his instruction to help overcome unfavorable business conditions.
