Nippon Ham ace Darvish signs 270 million yen deal

SAPPORO, Japan - Nippon Ham Fighters right-hander Yu Darvish speaks during a news conference in Sapporo, Hokkaido, on Dec. 1 after re-signing with the Pacific League club for an estimated annual salary of 270 million yen, up 70 million yen from 2008, plus performance incentives.
