Law revised to enable citizenship for kids born out of wedlock
TOKYO, Japan - Japan's House of Councillors enacted a revised Nationality Law on Dec. 5, enabling a child born out of wedlock to a Japanese man and non-Japanese woman to obtain Japanese citizenship if the father recognizes his paternity.
