Panasonic to buy 70.5% stake in Sanyo from 3 shareholders

OSAKA, Japan - Panasonic Corp. President Fumio Ohtsubo (L) and Sanyo Electric Co. President Siichiro Sano give a news conference in Osaka on Dec. 19 at which they announced that Panasonic will launch a tender offer to acquire a stake of around 70.5 percent in Sanyo from three major shareholders for 131 yen per share.
