Gov't assesses economy as 'worsening' for 1st time in 7 years
TOKYO, Japan - Economic and Fiscal Policy Minister Kaoru Yosano speaks at a news conference at the Cabinet Office in Tokyo on Dec. 22 after the release of the Cabinet Office's latest economic monthly report, which adopted the word ''worse'' for the first time in about seven years to describe the current health of the economy on the back of sharply falling corporate profits, capital spending and job opportunities.
