U.S. warship Blue Ridge arrives at Nagasaki port
NAGASAKI, Japan - Members of peace-seeking organizations gather at Nagasaki port Feb. 5 to oppose a port call by the Blue Ridge, the command ship of the U.S. Navy's 7th Fleet. The 19,600-ton vessel's visit to Nagasaki, its second call there after a visit in September 1995, is to promote mutual friendship between Japan and the United States.
