Aso's cash handout plan now on the line
TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso heads for a Cabinet meeting in the parliament building on Feb. 13. Aso's pet project of giving people a cash handout to prop up the declining economy is now on the line, after his recent negative comments about privatization of postal services angered one of Japan's most influential lawmakers -- former Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, who spearheaded the privatization.
