Gov't says economy in 'severe situation'

TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Taro Aso (3rd from R) and other Cabinet ministers attend a meeting to approve the government monthly economic report for February at the prime minister's office in Tokyo on Feb. 19. The report said Japan's economy is ''worsening rapidly'' and ''in a severe situation.''
