Lhasa calm on riot anniversary but tension persists

LHASA, China - This photo shows a deserted street with closed shops near the Jokhang Monastery in Lhasa on March 14. The Tibetan capital appeared calm despite tension highlighted by the presence of armed security personnel patrolling the streets on the anniversary of the deadly rioting that occurred in the city a year ago.
