Aso says he will call general election at 'appropriate time'
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Taro Aso replies to a question from Yukio Hatoyama, secretary general of the main opposition Democratic Party of Japan, during a plenary session of the House of Representatives on April 28. Aso reiterated that he will call an election at an ''appropriate time'' to seek a public mandate immediately after he identifies the issues to be contested with the opposition parties.
