Recruitment for Shanghai Expo volunteers begins

SHANGHAI, China - A ceremony marking the start of the recruitment of volunteers for the 2010 international exposition in Shanghai is held at the Oriental Pearl Tower square on May 1, one year before the opening of the Expo. About 70,000 volunteers at the Expo site and about 100,000 volunteers outside the site, such as at stations and hotels, will be recruited by the end of this year.
