JR Vice Chairman Sasaki to become president
OSAKA, Japan - Masao Yamazaki (L), who is stepping down as president of West Japan Railway Co., and Vice Chairman Takayuki Sasaki, who will succeed Yamazaki, shake hands after a news conference in Osaka on July 10. Yamazaki expressed his intention to resign on July 8 after being indicted over the fatal train derailment in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture, in 2005.
