H-2B rocket on launch pad
TANEGASHIMA ISLAND, Japan - An H-2B rocket, the first of its kind, is set at its launch pad at Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture on Sept. 10, 2009. The rocket is scheduled to lift off 2:01 a.m. on Sept. 11 to carry Japan's first unmanned cargo vehicle, the domestically made HTV single-use vehicle, to the International Space Station.
