'Phoenix' flies down to Kyoto manga museum
KYOTO, Japan - Children look at an 11-meter-wide, 4.5-meter-tall wooden sculpture of a bird inspired by the comic story ''Hi no Tori'' (Phoenix) by renowned Japanese manga artist Osamu Tezuka at the Kyoto International Manga Museum in Kyoto on Sept. 22, 2009. It took half a year for the atelier of local Buddhism artist Kosho Sudo to complete the creation.
