Japan's Yamanaka receives Lasker medical research award
NEW YORK, United States - Japanese researcher Shinya Yamanaka delivers a speech during an award ceremony for the 2009 Albert Lasker Basic Medical Research Award in New York on Oct. 2, 2009. Yamanaka received the award for his success in developing induced pluripotent stem cells, which have the potential to grow into body tissue.
