High court backs halt to Okinawa reclamation project
NAHA, Japan - This photo taken Oct. 13, 2009, shows a reclamation project for the development of an artificial island on the Awase mudflat near the city of Okinawa. On Oct. 15, 2009, the Fukuoka High Court upheld a lower court ruling and ordered that the reclamation project should be suspended.
