Yankees' Matsui receives award in N.Y. from Japanese gov't

NEW YORK, United States - World Series MVP Hideki Matsui (L) receives an award from the Japanese government on Nov. 13, 2009, in New York for fostering goodwill and friendship between Japan and the United States. New York Consul General Shinichi Nishimiya presented the New York Yankees designated hitter with a certificate of commendation at his official residence.
