Hatoyama says appointing Kan as finance chief 'best conclusion'

TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama speaks to reporters in front of his official residence in Tokyo on Jan. 7, 2010, one day after he accepted Finance Minister Hirohisa Fujii's resignation and appointed Deputy Prime Minister Naoto Kan as the successor.
