JAL heads for court-backed bankruptcy

TOKYO, Japan - A Japan Airlines captain hands a written message and sticker to a child passenger at Haneda airport in Tokyo on Jan. 9, 2010. A total of 70 employees and retirees of the JAL group mounted the event saying they ''thank'' passengers as the government seeks court-backed bankruptcy for the troubled airliner.
