Jewelry thief may strike in Taiwan after Japan heist: police

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Taiwan police released security camera footage of a man on Jan. 13, 2010, in connection with the theft of two rings from a De Beers store in Taipei on Jan. 12. A senior Taiwanese police official said the same day that a jewelry thief who stole at least four rings in Japan last month is suspected in the theft of two rings in Taipei.
