Indicted lawmaker Ishikawa submits resignation to leave DPJ
TOKYO, Japan - Democratic Party of Japan Secretary General Ichiro Ozawa listens to questions from reporters at DPJ headquarters in Tokyo after receiving a resignation letter of Tomohiro Ishikawa, a DPJ lawmaker and former aide to Ozawa, on Feb. 11, 2010. Ishikawa will leave the ruling party on Feb. 15 as the letter was accepted by the party following his indictment over funding irregularities in connection with a Tokyo land deal involving Ozawa's fund management body.
