Indicted lawmaker Ishikawa submits resignation to leave DPJ
OBIHIRO, Japan - Tomohiro Ishikawa, a Democratic Party of Japan lawmaker and former aide to DPJ Secretary General Ichiro Ozawa, bows after a news conference in Obihiro in Hokkaido, Japan, on Feb. 11, 2010, following submission of his resignation letter to leave the ruling party. The letter was accepted by the party following his indictment over funding irregularities in connection with a Tokyo land deal involving Ozawa's fund management body.
