FY 2010 budget passes lower house committee

TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama (R) and Finance Minister Naoto Kan (C) bow in appreciation at a session of the House of Representatives' Budget Committee on March 2, 2010, after the panel approved the government budget draft for fiscal 2010. The 92.30-trillion-yen proposal was expected to clear the plenary session of the lower house later in the day.
