Chile quake tsunamis damage Japan's fisheries industry
KESENNUMA, Japan - Fishermen in Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture, on March 23, 2010, pull up netting containing seaweed and plastic bottles used as fishing buoys that was damaged by tsunamis triggered by a magnitude-8.8 earthquake in Chile on Feb. 27. Fisheries businesses in Japan have reported damage of about 6.26 billion yen from the tsunamis.
