TENDO, Japan - A shogi (Japanese chess) game with ''human pieces'' is played on April 17, 2010, at a hall in Tendo, Yamagata Prefecture, a place known for its production of Shogi pieces. High school students in armor or kimono moved on a 15-meter square shogi board under instruction from two professional shogi players.
