Ex-health minister launches new party
TOKYO, Japan - Yoichi Masuzoe, a former health minister, speaks to reporters at the parliamentary building in Tokyo on April 23, 2010. Masuzoe, a popular lawmaker who left the main opposition Liberal Democratic Party, and five other House of Councillors members launched a new party, named Shinto Kaikaku (new party for reform), the same day in the run-up to the upcoming upper house election.
