Tiananmen Square student leader Wuer Kaixi arrested in Tokyo
TOKYO, Japan - Wuer Kaixi (R), one of the pro-democracy Chinese student leaders during the 1989 Tiananmen Square incident, visits the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo on June 4, 2010. Later, he was arrested on suspicion of trespassing into the premises of the embassy. According to Wuer, he visited the Chinese Embassy to turn himself in to Chinese authorities on the 21st anniversary of Beijing's bloody crackdown on democracy protesters. But the embassy refused to accept Wuer.
