Japanese police release Tiananmen Square student leader
TOKYO, Japan - Wuer Kaixi, a Chinese pro-democracy student leader during the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre, leaves a police station in Tokyo on June 6, 2010, following his release. Wuer, who was arrested on June 4 after he tried to forcibly enter the Chinese Embassy premises in Tokyo, has told his lawyers he intended to turn himself in to Chinese authorities.
