Afghan President Karzai visits Hiroshima

HIROSHIMA, Japan - Afghan President Hamid Karzai (L) talks with Keijiro Matsushima (R), an atomic-bomb survivor in Hiroshima, during a meeting in the western Japan city. Karzai also visited the Peace Memorial Museum the same day.

                      Hiroshima A-bomb survivor, campaigner Tsuboi dies

                      Photo taken May 27, 2016 shows Sunao Tsuboi, an influential campaigner for nuclear disarmament who survived the U.S. atomic bombing of Hiroshima, shaking hands with U.S. President Barack Obama at the Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima. Tsuboi, who served as a chairperson of the Japan Confederation of A- and H-Bomb Sufferers Organizations, died on Oct. 24, 2021, at the age of 96.
