Koike becomes 1st woman to assume a top post in LDP

TOKYO, Japan - Former Defense Minister Yuriko Koike is seen at the Liberal Democratic Party's headquarters in Tokyo on Sept. 9, 2010. Koike was named chairman of the main opposition LDP's General Council, becoming the first woman to assume one of the party's top three posts.
