Japan's new education minister Takaki
TOKYO, Japan - Yoshiaki Takaki, a veteran lower house member, enters the prime minister's office in Tokyo on Sept. 17, 2010, after being named as education minister in Prime Minister Naoto Kan's reshuffled Cabinet. Takaki has taken key political posts such as vice president of the Democratic Party of Japan and chief of the party's Diet Affairs Committee.
