Japan to free Chinese boat captain

TOKYO, Japan - Photo shows Zhan Qixiong, the skipper of a Chinese fishing boat, being transferred from a Japan Coast Guard office to a public prosecutors office in Okinawa Prefecture on Sept. 9, 2010. Zhan was arrested after his boat collided with Coast Guard vessels near the disputed Senkaku Islands, administered by Japan but also claimed by China and Taiwan, on Sept. 8. The prosecutors decided to release Zhan on Sept. 24.
