Russian warship makes Japan port call

HAKODATE, Japan - Crew members of the Russian navy's 6,700-ton destroyer the Admiral Panteleyev receive flowers at a welcoming ceremony in Hakodate, Hokkaido, on Oct. 15, 2010. It was the first port call by a Russian warship in the northernmost Japanese prefecture since the founding of the Soviet Union in 1917. The city of Hakodate said it permitted the port call after it confirmed there were no nuclear weapons on the vessel.
