10,000-yen price cut for Sony's PSPgo

TOKYO, Japan - Photo shows the ''PSPgo,'' an Internet-use-only PlayStation Portable game console. On Oct. 25, 2010, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. announced a 10,000 yen cut in the product's price to 16,800 yen in a bid to shore up its sluggish sales ahead of the yearend sales campaign.

The 42-inch KDE-P42HZ1 (in photo) will be put on the market on Sept. 10 and the 50-inch KDE-P50HZ1 on Oct. 10 at suggested retail prices of 1.15 million yen and 1.4 million yen, respectively, the Sony Corp. group firm said.
