Ministers reaffirm forest conservation efforts

NAGOYA, Japan - Japanese Foreign Minister Seiji Maehara (L) and Samuel Tei Abal (R), Papua New Guinea's foreign, trade and immigration minister, co-chair a climate change conference in Nagoya on Oct. 26, 2010. In the meeting, ministers from dozens of countries reaffirmed their commitment to a partnership to create an international mechanism for reducing greenhouse gas emissions caused by deforestation and forest degradation as part of efforts to curb climate change.
