Thaksin supporters ask for U.N. probe on crackdown
BANGKOK, Thailand - Representatives of a group of supporters of former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra walk into a U.N. building in Bangkok on Oct. 26, 2010, to ask visiting U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki Moon for an investigation by the world body into military clampdowns on antigovernment protesters in April and May which resulted in the deaths of some 90 demonstrators.
