Falls from temple roof

SHIRAKAWA, Japan - Photo shows the main building of Myozenji temple in Shirakawa village at a World Heritage site in Gifu Prefecture on Jan. 30, 2011. More than a dozen people fell from the snow-covered roof of the building as they were removing snow the same day.

              MINO, Japan - Local people celebrate the registration of Japanese traditional handmade paper called "washi" as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by the U.N. Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization or UNESCO on Nov. 27, 2014, at the city office building of Mino, where one of the registered washi products called "Homminoshi" is produced, in Gifu Prefecture, central Japan.                     TAKARAZUKA, Japan - People in Takarazuka, Hyogo Prefecture, the city famous for the Takarazuka Revue, dance together in a line on Nov. 1, 2014, as they attempt to set a world record for the longest single line of dancers. They set a record recognized by the Guinness World Records when 4,395 people danced for more than 5 minutes in a line, beating the previous record set in 2012 in the United States with 2,569 dancers. Takarazuka Grand Theater, a theater dedicated to the all-female troupe, is seen in the background.
