Sumo match-fixing scandal
TOKYO, Japan - Members of the media approach a sumo wrestler (C) after he emerged from the Ryogoku Kokugikan sumo stadium in Tokyo on Feb. 2, 2011, after it was reported the same day that text messages implying that wrestlers have routinely bought and sold their wins for several hundred thousand yen per bout were found on several sumo wrestlers' cellphones confiscated in a police investigation into a separate scandal involving organized baseball gambling among sumo wrestlers.
