Wreckage of derailed train shown to bereaved relatives
HIMEJI, Japan - Tsuneo Okumura (C), who lost his 21-year-old daughter in the 2005 derailment in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture, arrives at a site where bereaved relatives and surviving passengers were allowed to view the wreckage of the accident. The wreckage was returned to West Japan Railway Co. from the Kobe District Public Prosecutors Office, which had retained it as evidence in the trials of former JR West executives charged over the accident, which killed 107 people and injured 562.
